Ion Mincu
Architect who created the Neo-Romanian style.
Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Mincu combined elements of Brâncovenesc and vernacular architecture into a new national style. His Lahovari House and the Bufetul de la Șosea are founding works of Neo-Romanian architecture; Romania's main architecture university bears his name.
