Natalia Dumitrescu

1915 – 1997 Bucharest

Abstract painter in Paris and guardian of Brâncuși's studio.

Dumitrescu moved to Paris in 1947 and cared for the ageing Brâncuși; as his heir she helped preserve the studio now at the Centre Pompidou. Her own abstractions are delicate and rhythmic.
