André Cădere
Nomad artist of the painted wooden bars, carried through the streets of Paris.
Born in Warsaw to a Romanian diplomat's family and raised in Bucharest, Cădere moved to Paris in 1967. From 1970 he made 'Barres de bois rond' — round wooden bars of coloured segments following a system with a deliberate error — which he carried through streets, galleries and other artists' openings, as uninvited guests.
